More than 2.5 million people have died around the world because of covid. One of the reasons covid is dangerous for people and especially children is because it can spread very fast from one person to another. Some people are calm during the pandemic and feel safe enough to go on vacations after they are fully vaccinated. However, being  fully vaccinated doesn’t mean people can travel the way they used to. 

Doctors have made vaccines for children ages 12 and older. Even though that’s the case, vaccinated children should still follow safety guidelines and stay away from unnecessary traveling. 

The reason why children should follow safety guidelines Is because they are still able to pass on the virus. Most children don’t know what to do when going out to stores,hotels or other people’s houses. Children might go up to their friends and hug them when they’re supposed to be six feet apart. When children go back to school, they’ll think everything’s back to how it was before the pandemic. Children would have to wear masks when they go back and that’s going to be a new change for them. 

If children don’t follow the rules the virus can spread. Many children don’t have symptoms, but children that do get sick face light symptoms like mild fever, tiredness and coughs. Around the world, over 3.85 million children have  tested positive for covid. Children have passed on the virus by not wearing a mask, going very close to each other and coughing with their mouth uncovered .That’s why it’s good for children to follow safety precautions during the pandemic.

Since children have been virtual for a while, their old rules in school will change. When children have to wear masks in school they won’t feel comfortable with the new transition .Social distancing  and new classroom routines are also going to be different for children. A reason why it’s a good idea for children to go back to school is because they get used to being indoors instead of being out.  A lot of children have been  indoors most of the time to be safe, but even if it’s the pandemic it’s a great idea to take walks,play and exercise  to get used to being outdoors again.

Oftentimes, children forget to be six feet apart, but there’s a chance that if they get their vaccine they’ll be able to hug their friends. There are still rules out there for social distancing. It’s a little hard for children to socialize because when they were inside during  the pandemic they never got to see their friends. Sometimes the first thing they want to do when they see them is hug them. If children wear masks and social distance, they will be able to see their friends.

All in all, it’s very important to learn about being safe in the pandemic because it will prevent parents and their children from getting sick. If children get their vaccine they still have to be careful even if they’re trying to have fun. A lot of people have passed away because of covid and some people aren’t following the rules to make the world safer. The best way to do it is social distancing,washing  one’s hands and wearing a mask. Most people are doing a very good job to make the world safer and constantly doing that will help others.
